According to a survey as reported in John Baldoni’s book, Lead with Purpose, more than 80 percent of those surveyed say that leaders can best demonstrate that they truly do put people first by:
  • Delivering intrinsic awards (comp time, bonuses, etc.) 
  • Offering developmental opportunities 
  • Providing timely recognition 
  • Promoting from within
